We’re looking for an Audio Software Development Lead to architect the real-time audio foundation for a groundbreaking social music platform where AI and expressive performance collide to let anyone create professional-grade music experiences on their phone.

In our studio, musicians, fans, and creators collaborate on high-quality musical content through interactive audio that feels as natural and responsive as playing a real instrument. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing a flexible, high-performance audio engine in C++ that powers synchronized multitrack audio and MIDI playback, seamless streaming of assets, precise synchronization with real-time multi-track video, dynamic manipulation of effects and patterns, and the intelligent mapping of AI-extracted musical data onto live sound synthesis parameters. Your architecture will be modular by design, enabling rapid prototyping of entirely new creative tools as the product evolves.

Working hand-in-hand with our Music Expression and Realtime Video leads, you’ll ensure that every user interaction maps to sound changes that are not only technically precise but musically coherent and visually intuitive—helping players instantly understand and amplify their creative impact.

The ideal candidate brings more than five years of specialized experience in real-time audio programming with C++, a proven track record building and maintaining custom audio engines, a deep and intuitive grasp of music theory across rhythm, harmony, melody, and timbre, solid familiarity with digital signal processing, and exceptional communication abilities to convey sophisticated musical and technical concepts to colleagues from all backgrounds.
